Welcome, beautiful dancer! I'm Toni Bergins, creator of JourneyDance™.
I've been teaching in the transformational dance world for over 25 years and have witnessed and experienced the power and incredible healing potential of JourneyDance™ - the power of empowerment, embodiment, and manifestation. The power of self-esteem, self-ownership, reclaiming one's path. The power of healing trauma and old wounds. I've seen the power of celebration and heart-opening connection. I've experienced the power of sensual awakening and intuitive awakening. I’m so excited to be collaborating with Joy Okoye and Joan White Hansen for The Remedy Retreat.
Joy Okoye
Joy is a spiritual intuitive who facilitates consciousness-expanding experiences using movement, breath, and divinely channeled sound. As a JourneyDance™ Facilitator on the Teaching Training Staff trained in the Embodied Transformation Method™, she facilitates a wide range of programs with Toni Bergins, most recently The Remedy and The Body Love Course. Joy’s vocal artistry ranges from sound healing to confessional songwriting and singing the blues. Joy launched The Embodied Woman Mentoring program and founded Ecstatic Dance Jersey, to create celebratory environments for self-healing through ritual, compassionate connection, and creative expression.
Joan White Hansen
JoniJoan White Hansen is a Senior JourneyDance Facilitator on the Teacher Training Staff and has been a teacher of JourneyDance for 13 years. Trained in the Embodied Transformation Method, she creates opportunities for others to reach for the possibility of feeling whole; creating the life they choose from a place of strength. Joan is currently is designing a program that provides for the experience of embodied dance to integrate with the inner artist, Dancing Your Soul Art. As a dancer, artist, mentor, leader in outdoor excursions, public and private school art enrichment educator and circus artist in residence, she taps into the massive potential and power of love and resilience of the human spirit.

Dorm Guest Rooms are decorated in bright and cheerful Mexican textiles and colors, providing a cozy and well appointed option for those seeking simplicity and comfort. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with natural bath amenities. Rooms are located on both ground level and third floors, either jungle or garden facing.

What is the closest international airport to Mar de Jade?
Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Airport code: PVR.
Taxi service accomodations will be made for you through Mar de Jade – more details will be sent to you as we get closer to arrival. The cost of this taxi is not included.
Please allow 90 minutes for taxi service from Puerto Vallarta airport to Mar de Jade.
Arrival & Departure:
Please arrive on Saturday, March 16th. You are encouraged to arrive in time for dinner
(6pm GMT-7) if possible to meet everyone. Keep in mind the 90 minute shuttle ride from the airport to the resort when you plan your flights.
We will conclude in the evening Friday, March 22nd. Checkout time is 10am GMT-7 on Saturday, March 23rd..

COVID Protocols:
All COVID procedures will be followed according to Mar de Jade regulations. If your country requires a COVID test for re-entry home, this service will be performed at Mar de Jade for an additional fee. As we get closer to our trip and regulations change we will keep you up to date on what is happening.
JourneyDance CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation 45 days or more prior to the first day of the retreat: guest receives refund less $100 ($USD).
Cancellation 45 - 0 days prior to the first day of the retreat: guest receives refund less $200 ($USD) if someone else is found for your space, if no one is found for your space no refund is given. (We will make every effort to find someone for your space.)
If JourneyDance needs to cancel the retreat due to COVID issues, which would be because Mexico or the region we are in has locked down or there are less than 10 students due to COVID cancellations up to 7 days before the start of the retreat we will either reschedule to 2023 or give full refund.
There are no price changes for arriving late or leaving early.
